KLASTER FACTS IN THE BELGRADE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Textile, leather, clothing and footwear group established in the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade Monday, 27. 04. 2015.
Problems in the field of textile, clothing and footwear production were discussed at the expert meeting organized by the Association of Industry, published on the website of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce.

The event was attended by representatives of manufacturers, director of the Fashion and Clothing Industry Cluster of Serbia, Director of the High Textile School and Head of the Department of Textile Engineering TMF.

At the meeting, it was noted that this industrial sector, which in the nineties was the backbone of development, especially employment, in many parts of Serbia, is unfairly neglected. The textile sector is the third export sector whose advantages are human resources, geostrategic position and great production experience.

Recovery and re-positioning of the fashion industry will contribute to measures of economic and legislative policy whose ultimate goal would be to increase the rate of exports and reduce unemployment. These measures are the reduction of the obligations of manufactures, transparent public procurement, incentives to the production sector, the suppression of the gray economy, as well as various forms of financial support.

A decision was made to establish a Textile, Leather, clothing and footwear, and for the president is elected Manuela Milev, deputy director of company “Dunav ad” Gocka, while Voja Crnjanski (“Sanjadesign”), Slađana Milojević (Cluster FACTS) and Vukadin Pantić (“Cheris”) were elected as deputy president.
