The TAIEX Instrument of the Institution Building Unit of the European Commission is organizing in cooperation with DG Enterprise and Industry a Multi-Country Workshop under the title of „Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Creativity, Innovation and IPR in Textile and Clothing Industry in Euro-Mediterranean Area„. It will be the 10th anniversary of the Euro-Mediterranean dialogue on textile industry. The workshop will take place on 24-25 March 2014 in Florence, Italy.
For this workshop we would like to invite five representatives from the following countries: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Israel, Kosovo, Lebanon, Jordan, Montenegro, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey, Croatia, and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
As for the profile of the participants to be invited for the conference we are looking for representatives of:
- National/regional administrations/ministries of industry involved with textile and clothing,
- industrial associations in textile and clothing,
- textile and clothing companies/enterprises
- chambers of commerce involved with textile and clothing
- fashion and design schools in textile and clothing,
- education and research centres specializing in innovation in textiles and clothing
The main objective of the conference is to exchange experiences regarding policies, practices and programmes about creativity innovation and IPR as substantial economic lever to improve brand image, sales and profitability of companies in textile and clothing sector in the Euro-Mediterranean Area. The working language of the workshop is English and French, for both languages simultaneous interpretation will be offered.
